Nasal Congestion

Nasal congestion, or 'blocked' or ' nose, is one of the most common conditions and can be due to a variety of conditions the commonest being allergy, colds, structural problems or sinus problems.

It is caused by the mucosal membrane lining of the nose becoming engorged, by environmental factors, infections, internal factors etc.. When the lining of the nose swells sometimes together with increased mucous production the airways become narrower and more easily blocked, making it difficult to breathe through the nose.

There are numerous causes of nasal blockage ranging from a deviation of your nasal septum to nasal polyps. A consultation with the ENT doctor we will establish the cause and advise about the best possible treatment options.
